Brute is back

Hey, is it just me, or does anyone else find it very disrespectful? It's almost a personal affront when you walk into a public space like the gym and you're forced to consume somebody else's music selection. How fucking rude is it to walk into a gym and you gotta have Rihanna banging in your eardrum? It's absurd.

It's absurd. I've started going to the gym during the daylight hours, and I just walk right up to the tuner and I just throw my own on, and people are giving me real filthy looks. Because I do think the pinnacle experience, obviously, for a man is to curate, should be curating your world exactly how you see fit. Now, I don't give a.

How mentally tough you are and how good you are at blocking out noise. Think about the genuine absurdity of walking into a public space, even a mall, and just having someone else's. Some director is pumping tunes into your ear frequencies that you didn't choose. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

And this. This goes. This extrapolates across the board. I won't even allow the TV on during the day.

I don't want to hear, download, consume any information, even if it's in the background, that I did not intentionally choose. Nothing, Nada, zilch. Don't. I think there's a point in your life as a man when you.

When you're thoroughly educated, where the echo chamber is becomes the bastion of thunder. The echo chamber becomes the monastery. It's where you kind of create that upward spiral where you can kind of incubate yourself in a. In a situation where your thoughts are uncontaminated.

I cracked open a book the other day for, like, the first time in a couple years, and it was cool. It was, you know, it was high literature. I was enjoying the prose. Real, real strong author.

But, like, four pages in. I kind of felt this guttural disgust reading it. I was like, why the am I reading this? Anything that I want to know in my life, any answer that I want to conjure, I swear to fucking God, the downloads will just come to me out of the sky.

Like, if I need to know something, it just springs up from my source. I truly believe all the answers are within. I truly believe that. I believe we know everything already.

And it's bizarre how when I need to know something, there is zero reason to seek it out. It's just gonna come to me. All I gotta do is kick my shoes up on the furniture, puff on a sig, and all the Revelations just hit automatically. That's the peak.

I genuinely am at a point where I just don't want to know anything outside my own source. I don't want to. I want to flesh out and carve out my own philosophy. Got far more than enough education.

It's all there. I think we're gonna bounce around a little bit and do some, like, cultural commentary, because I just think there's some interesting psychological wizardry going on in the world that I've. I've been kind of cracking down on. First of all, how many of you.

I would say very few. How many of you genuinely, in your gut, think the whole Tate thing is a charade? Like, how many of you fully believe are on board that he never went to jail? The whole thing is a reality TV show.

I'm not joking. It's a reality TV show. If you put a gun to my head, I would bet the farm that he never went to jail at all. And it's just.

This is all a reality TV show because it's just so obvious. The current landscape, the currency is entertainment, not utility. Not utility, entertainment. These soft skills of entertainment are what's jettisoning people to the top right now.

First of all, if you're in jail, first thing your attorney would do is tell you to shut the upper. You would not be. You would have a gag order. You would not be taunting the powers that be on social media, even by proxy.

Obviously it wasn't him running the account. Maybe it was. If it was his cousin. There's zero percent chance.

Someone sitting in a dusky jail cell in a third world country taunting the powers that be, taunting the constabulary. Not happening. It's the greatest show on earth. It really is.

It's the greatest spectacle on earth. And it just blows me away. How many people don't have their detectors dialed up to high? Because this is the funnest time in world history to really dissect and do a psychological autopsy on all the little gimmickry going on, especially on social media.

It's mind blowing. Or did I want to bounce to. Oh, I figured out. I figured out the psychological obsession with the virgin thing.

The virgin thing. So the virgin thing is a beta male obsession. First of all, it's a beta male fantasy. Here's why there are two masochistic milestones in a woman's life, because there is, if you understand women, you know, there's a freeing feeling of the chaos of pain.

Women secretly yearn and enjoy experiencing low doses of pain, sometimes high doses, but most time low Doses, because it, it seems to release this sort of animal lust that civilization, that modern civilization has severed. Okay, now the two masochistic milestones that you could almost say represent pinnacles of pain in women is obviously child rearing and then defloration. Deflowering means losing your virginity. Those two milestones are incredibly painful experiences for women physically and emotionally.

Childbirth and defloration. Now any man who inflicts that pain on a woman, obviously to some degree has an unbreakable, unshakable bond. You are marred in her psyche, soul and snatch for life. It's just what it is.

It's how nature works. And so my next conclusion for those of you that are savvy, is very obvious. You can see where I'm going with this. The beta male loves to run around trying to deflower virgins because, ta da.

What it does is it creates that unbreakable bond that I'm talking about so that he can now coast on his betaness the rest of his life without the threat of cuckoldry. Bingo. That's the psychological obsession with the virgin thing. It's that a man knows the imprint will be so strong that no matter his station in life, no matter how big of a loser, no matter how low status, there's going to be a permanent imprint that's going to be hard to shake.

And I think that's all that needs to be said on that. There was another little vignette that I was thinking about the other day. This is gonna, this, this space is gonna be fire. It's gonna be a little hodgepodge here, little hodgepodge of information.

The nerds. The nerds and the theorists and the systems guys, you know, that are on Twitter and talking about the, their theories and uploading all these systems. What you have to understand is a lot of that stuff is these guys just being sacrificial lambs. And what I mean by that is a lot of these guys that are so systems heavy and so theoretically heavy, they are essentially paving, they're laying the ground roads for jocks or specimens that have higher status or far superiority to basically steal their message, add some swagger to it, and it'll propel them farther than the nerd ever could have gone.

So that's what's happening here. I'm seeing a lot of these figures essentially co opting and pirating nerd speak and then just basically spicing it up with some swagger and then you're just off to the races. Yet again. Yet again, we see how nature works.

These. These guys who are really heady and eggheaded and kind of lofty in their heads always lose. They always lose. They always lose because someone who's going to take action is just going to take your message and they're going to spruce it up and they're going to turn on the jets and you're just going to be eating dust.

That's how it's always worked. It's how it's always. How it always will work. Fascinating times.

I do not wish for any era than the one that we are currently in. I'm an accelerationist. I want Gotham City. Please bring Gotham City.

Let it. Let this whole fucking diaspora, let the whole fucking thing collapse at this point. Why not? The strong will survive.

You know what I'm saying? Like the Huns, the bar. The. The barbaric ideology right now is winning thoroughly, by the way.

Thoroughly, thoroughly winning. The barbaric ideology is just smashing. Smashing all these other doctrines. The right wing is.

The left wing is. It's really sort of these savages that are coming up now. Savages that are coming up because the. The Internet has provided an intellectual sort of leveling where really dumb people can essentially access the best of the best information.

So there's like an intellectual leveling right now. And to be quite honest with you, there's a level of intelligence you don't even want in this life. You don't even want in this life. There's a.

There's a. You guys will know what I'm talking about. There's a level of smartness where you're so smart that you actually just become awkward in social situations. You know what I'm saying?

Like, there's. There's a level of awareness and truth that you almost just don't want to touch because then you just can't relate to anybody and you become really weird in public. I think I had that tweet a couple years ago. It was a banger.

I was talking about how dumb. Dumb ideas are winning. Dumb ideas are winning and intelligent people. Look, genius insights come from retard 60 IQ moves.

That's. That's like the. That's the crux of 2023. Dumb decisions is where you're gonna get all your genius insights.

Because clown world is here. But I don't wish for it to be any other way. You know what I'm saying? Like, I think we have to exploit reality for what it is.

If, if the sexes. If the gender lines are blurred and women are being men and men are being women. So be It. That's a.

That's a necessary correction that has to take place. And I'm willing. I'm willing to insert myself in that battlefield and participate. Not going to sit here and vie for the return.

The return to what? That world's gone. It's not coming back. That world's not coming back, gentlemen.

It's not. And we all know idealism is feminine. Ideal. Idealism is feminine.

Men have to ascertain and deal with the reality that's right in front of them. If chicks are slutty and virgins are hard to come by, then you know what? You still gotta Annie up at the table. What you gonna do?

What you gonna do?

CALLER 1

It's.

HOST

It. The whole return to tradition thing, that's no different than the video game mindset. You're just wearing a virtual reality helmet. You know what I'm saying?

Like you. There's. There has to be some participation in the. In the current culture.

Current culture is amazing. Current culture is amazing. If you have your. Together and you have any semblance of charisma at all, man, you can do whatever the you want.

Which. Which leads me to my next point. I think these MMA guys that are coming up right now, I see these a lot of younger dudes. This is not a knock on mma, but I think it's worth noting.

There's a lot of dudes that are kind of trying to reclaim masculinity from a perspective of toughness and strength, and you know what I'm saying? Like these traditional virtues of masculinity. But I have news for you. Those things are cool.

Those things are cool. I'm a strength athlete. I enjoy being strong, but I enjoy being strong for. For definitions that don't involve aesthetics.

What I'm trying to tell you guys is, like I said earlier, the currency, the. The cur. The. The currency right now is entertainment.

It's not utility. So being a tough guy and being a strong superman really ain't gonna get you very far. You know what I mean? Like, you got to be fun.

Fun is what wins right now. Fun is what wins on social media. Fun is just winning all across the board. You got to be fun.

You can't be a dull, stodgy little tough guy. Those guys are a dime a dozen. Tough guys are male thoughts. Tough guys are male thoughts.

It's not an edge. You know what I mean? Being a grinder and being able to tolerate a ton of pain for the sake of it, and showing people how tough you are and how much you can withstand that's you're just a conscript. That shit's.

You're expendable. There's so many fucking tough guys out there that are going right through the buzzsaw. That are going right through the buzzsaw. So if that's your modest operandi right now, I highly suggest you pivot.

Because those hard skills. I'm just talking from a sheer power perspective. Talking from a raw power perspective. If you are a red blooded male, power should be your only concern in this life.

Raw power. How much raw power do you have? Like, that's pretty much the barometer. I don't, I do not trust men who do not seek power.

I do not trust men at all who do not seek power. Because again, once you're in this, in the, in the foothold of power, then you can amplify your message. You know what I mean? It's the tide that rises.

All boats. Yeah, it's. It's like the currency's entertainment. It just is.

It's entertainment. How, how much, how much fun are you and how much fun can you have? It's really the only metric. And that's not going away anytime soon, by the way.

I mean, we're, we're in peak clown world right now. So that's my point. My point is just about adapting to the world that we're in. Adapting to the world that we're in, I think is extremely important.

I think a lot of guys have sort of, you can call it a dereliction of duty. A lot of men have abandoned their posts and they are opting out of the game completely. I legitimately believe homosexuality is on the rise because of this. I think homosexuality is a cultural phenomenon now where dudes are struggling so hard to get that they are choosing to be gay on purpose because in the gay community, anybody will you literally.

They have zero standards in the gay community. There's no standards. You could be a fat poor. No one gives a about your bank account, no one gives a.

About your status. No one gives a. You're gonna get laid in the gay community regardless of who you are. So I literally, I, I truly believe this.

I think a lot of men are abandoning their posts and trying and becoming gay because the, the sexual market is just so skewed right now. And it's tough, it's tough on dudes. Dudes are feeling the pressure because you gotta be excellent in all areas to lock down a woman right now. That's just the reality.

You know what I mean? 40 years ago, you could be a milkman, you could be a milkman driving a white van and you'd be fine. You'd be fine. You could get laid on any night of the week. Now the competition is steep.

It's steep. And I think there's, that's why there's a lot of backlash and a lot of rage and a lot of, A lot of people online attacking people. It's, it's a, it's a product that, you know, the, the binary war, it's never been truly, you know, it's been propped up by the media, but it's never truly been blacks versus whites. It's never been east versus west.

It's always, always been the guys who get. And the guys who get none. That's just always going to be the war. It's just what it is.

The wars between the dudes who are getting some and the dudes who aren't. That's never going to change. That's never going to change. Because I'll tell you something.

The most powerful thing is a man. The most powerful experience, the peak male experience, is being heard. Every man wants to have a voice. Every man wants to have a voice.

We all know that experience in school where there's some little pipsqueak sitting at the table with the big kids and he's trying to get a word in and no one gives a. What he has to say. That is the most existential terror that could ever be wrought on a male specimen is being unheard. And the that are unheard are really, really salty right now.

Really salty. There's nothing like it. There's nothing like being a man and care what you have to say. It's really the only metric of validation that and how hot your wife is.

Those are the only two measures you need to know. You only need to know how pleasant and how beautiful a guy's woman is. Tells you everything you need to know. Everything you need to know.

What was my commentary today about the aesthetics thing? Aesthetics thing is just such a fucking interesting one. I could just go on and on with this shit because I just think it's. It's the burgeoning.

It's. It's the, it's the presiding force right now. Every man you want to talk about, like the completion of the inversion, the, in the inversion of the sexes. The, the.

The men becoming women. Men just totally, totally obsessed with their looks and trying to be prettier than their girlfriends and what the fuck is going on. It's just so. It's, it's beyond absurd.

It's beyond absurd because Then you step out your door and all the most beautiful women in the world are with dudes who, who look terrible physically. You just see it time and time and time again. But it's, it's a fail safe mechanism is what it is. You know, to truly get what you want in this life, to truly, really like push the limits and push the envelope and really break the barriers of what you think is possible, you have to live outside yourself.

You have to live outside, outside yourself. Not inside yourself. You have to live outside yourself. Which means there has to be some reckless abandon.

There has to be some lack of concern for your own well being, if that makes sense. And, and that kind of circles back to the whole wearing your heart on your sleeve thing. I don't give a what anybody says, but the heart is the masculine organ. It just is the, the living from your heart and honoring the desires that come from your heart and your spirit is the most powerful masculine force in, in existence.

And nothing comes close. Nothing comes close because men do have the unbridled capacity factory installed out of the box to withstand incredible emotional pain. Feeling pain. Men are really good at dealing with feeling pain.

Almost an unlimited capacity. But you know what makes men snap? You know what makes men snap and go on murder sprees and, and, and freak out and, and, and really like lose their mind? It's never physical.

It's never physical or emotional pain. You know what it is? It's when they have logical inconsistencies, logical incongruences with the model of the universe that they think is supposed to be true. That's what makes dudes snap.

Which is why I'm telling you the heart is masculine and the head is feminine. Because logic needs input from the outside world to parse. You understand? We're talking about the, the phallic Yannick dichotomy right now.

You know what I'm saying? Logic has to be penetrated with outside influence. You know what else needs to be penetrated with outside influence? I'm sure you can figure it out.

The heart comes with its own set of, of preset conditions. There is no on the planet who can influence a man's heart. Can never happen. Because that shit's, that shit's ticking like a grandfather clock.

The miniature born, you know what I mean? Like you have some factory set conditions that are, that are imposed in your heart from the minute you hit the ground running. And that's not going anywhere. And I think a lot of men really, really struggle to lean into their nature.

Now when you live by your Heart. It is a very painful existence. Doing what you know is right in your heart, your own internal sense of justice, not anybody else's sense of justice, but your internal sense of justice that comes from your beating heart is very personal. And if you can live by that code, yes, you will.

You will be fall on. On great tragedies and great strife and great pain. Of course, of course. But that's sort of the epic.

That's sort of the epicurean thing, you know what I mean? Like, that's sort of the point. The point is, is that as a man, you're never going to come out unscathed, ever. Nor.

Nor do you want to be. Nor do you want to be. You wake up and you choose that life every day over the alternative, which is being an egghead. An egghead that just has to intellectualize everything and try to override your spirit with your mind.

It's not the way I want to live. I know how painful that existence is. That's why these philosophers died penniless. And losers.

Look at all the great philosophers. They all died losers because they lacked action, a lot of them. Now, the most controversial side to this coin, which is very true, but it's controversial because it's. There's really no remedy for this.

There's no product that anybody could sell you. There's no course, there's no system that could bring you to deliverance on what I'm about to tell you, which is that your loser traits, okay, the traits that you have, the characteristics, the defects that would quote unquote be called loser ish by society at large, if you lean into those traits and learn how to tame and control them, those are your winning traits. Every time. Every time.

Know what I mean? Like if you're a hedonistic scumbag, you know what a lot of these hedonistic scumbags do? They become artists. That's what they do.

They take that sort of loserish ethos and they convert it into something that's winning for them. I think it's the hardest thing by far for men to truly lean into their true nature because a lot of. A lot of the male true nature is dangerous. A lot of the things that you're naturally compelled to do are dangerous.

Of course they are. Of course they are. Because that's how you get outliers, right? Men are the transcendental species.

And it's really difficult for guys to grasp that sometimes your nature is going to lead you into things that are not beneficial materially but are beneficial spiritually. I know that makes sense to some of you. I think, I think I've discussed this before. I do think it's extremely important to understand that your addictions, the things that you are obsessed with, the, your, your fanaticism, all of Those things can 100 be deputized and stewarded towards success.

All of them, I don't care how much pain they cause you. They can be ushered. They can, I know they can. And, and this is sort of what I've always discussed.

And it's a, it's a really, it's a really delicate thing to articulate because a lot of, a lot of the voices inside your head as a man, you don't even know really where those, those voices came from. Like a lot of you have like a critical parent or you have, you have governing influences, you have some sort of superintendent in the back of your head and you're, There's a conflict there. And I think that part of the deprogramming process of becoming your own man is really, really wrestling with those voices in your head and submitting them. It's the Lord's work.

Because God knows most people just tap out and they just let the voices guide them. You know, if you don't really want to pursue your dreams in this life, like there, there is an opt out clause. There's an opt out clause in human nature. If you're, if you're not here to be excellent and you really don't want to do anything extraordinary, you know, you can just sort of be a larvae.

You can be sort of in this half baked stupor all the time. And you know what's going to take over and run your life for you? Your ego, Your ego is just really the autopilot. Like if you don't want to be self aware, if you don't want to dig deep within yourself and figure out why things are the way they are, your ego will totally run your life.

And you'll be fine. You'll be fine. You'll survive. You'll drive your car from A to B.

You won't even remember how the you got there. You'll put in your eight hours at work, punch out, don't even remember how the you got there. You'll come home, look at the girl next to you, don't even remember who she is, how you met her. Like your whole life will just be that kind of movie.

Your ego will just do it for you. Ego will feed you the. It'll, it'll, it'll, it'll, it'll make Your hand, pick up the spoon and shovel food into your mouth. Promise you that your ego ain't gonna let you go hungry.

So your ego will do all these basic things for you. It'll. It'll get your needs met 100%. It'll get your ass out of bed in the morning, and it'll craft some sort of half, you know, paper tiger life for you.

But if you really want the. The max and you really want the most juice out of life, then you got to start living from the spirit and you got to start living from your heart. And it's. It's.

It's so painful. It's so painful to do what you know is right in your heart. But I'll tell you what. There's no solace like it.

There's nothing like it. Because when you go to bed at night, you could have up a hundred things in the day. You know what I mean? You could have.

You could have made a hundred mistakes in the day, but when you know that you're living from your heart and that your intentions are, well, get the best night's sleep ever. There's nothing like it. There's nothing like it. Not nothing even close.

But if you don't want that responsibility, then just let your ego take over. It'll get you a job. It'll get you a 4 out of 10. It might even get you a couple kids and a little fucking baby carriage.

It might even get you a fucking cookie cutter home in the boonies. You know what I mean? Like, this is the state of being that most people are in. Most people.

The ego has just completely taken over the whole fucking show, and it's just autopilot, like. You don't really have to interfere. You don't really have to put in much work. And I mean, it'll set your.

Your lodestar. It'll. It'll be your compass. It'll be your gps.

It'll take you everywhere you want to go. Shit's fascinating. But there's. There's.

There's levels to this. There's a higher. There's a higher level, which is just. Just leave.

Living from that beating drum inside your chest. And you feel it, you know, when you're living from the heart. You know, when you're living from the spirit, it's the masculine virtue. A lot of these.

A lot of these warriors and poets and, you know, Alexander the Greats and these who. Who conquered and did extraordinary carnage on civilizations to, you know, make their mark. A lot of these guys were very well educated. But we know them for their hearts.

We know them for the fires that were burning in their hearts. That's why we know who they are. And any man that's worth his salt, any man whose tombstone is worth revisiting is. Is driving.

They're driving the ship from these intangible energies that I'm talking about. And it's brutal. It's brutal. I mean, any.

Any of you who truly live from your heart know how honorable and how courageous and how brutal the path really is. It's a bloodbath. It's a bloodbath. There's so much self doubt that creeps in.

There's so many days where you just want to tap out, you want to quit, you want to be a. You want to wave the white flag, you want to surrender, you want to go back to your old life. But it's the ones who are relentless and persist that get all the spoils and all the riches and all the marbles. You know what I'm saying?

Like, that's just a rule. That's a principle as old as time. You know, when the savages win the war, when any army wins the war. I've said this before, and it's worth renoting.

What do they do? They eviscerate the art. They take all the statues, all the art that was ever generated from the prior civilization, and they excoriate it off the face of the planet. And then you know what they do?

They. They erect their own. They erect their own art because art is dominance, art is dominance. Art is the flex.

You know, and that's one thing to circle it back about Tate, that I very much respect, is that even, you know, during what I think is the faux incarceration, nobody was able to disturb or disinter his art. You know what I mean? Like, his art lived on. His art is very much avant garde.

It's at the cutting edge right now, and it's here to stay. Nobody was really able to tamper with it. Nobody. No conglomerate, no alliance, no calvary, no brigade, like no joined coalition of forces was really able to.

To solely his message. You know, that's. That's the ultimate flex. Like, how long can your art last when you're gone?

Those artifacts and relics, the remnants of your. Of your mind, that's it. That's the whole game in town. And, and the whole, the whole male competitiveness is just.

Everyone's trying to erase everybody else's art. It's like literally what primates are doing all day. It's just a bunch of Men, the, the, you know, capitalism is just a bunch of men trying to eviscerate other people's artwork. It's just about it.

It's really what it comes down to. I'm gonna throw up some questions here, see what we can do. It's been a fun, fun. Little.

Ethan. What's up buddy?

CALLER 4

Yo, can you hear me?

HOST

Yes, sir.

CALLER 4

What's up, yo, how's it going? If you hear some beepings, because I'm in the Airbnb, but I had a quick question. I grew up in a pretty religious Christian home, so all my life I kind of had, you know, I would say, you know, pretty conservative right wing virtues, but the older I got, the older I noticed. You know, I noticed a lot of things going on.

You know, in regular churches I just could not vibe with like in my soul. Like for instance, you know, like I could just tell that like most of the men in these churches, their wives are just walking all over them. I could see a lot of inconsistencies in a lot of their preaching. So I just wanted your thoughts on religion and God in general because right now I'm kind of in like in a lost place.

Like it comes to that stuff. Thank you.

HOST

Yeah, I mean, look, I'm not afraid to alienate my audience. Like, I'm sure a lot of people are going to be pissed off what I have to say right now. But I do see a lot of the modern intonations of Christianity as a cuckold fantasy, bro. And what I mean by that is I believe a lot of modern Christian doctrine or the modern interpretation of it is essentially, and I'm going to go deep with this because I think this is a philosophical insight that's worth kind of, kind of toying with.

I think a lot of men have put this invisible man on a pedestal, but it's a, it's a, it's a, almost like a cuckold fetish. And what I mean by that is these guys don't feel worthy of their wives. Like, these guys legitimately there's some compartment in their imagination that believes that Jesus should be their dead serious or that like they, they want God to their woman. The metaph, the metaphorical God.

They want the metaphorical God to be banging their chick. And a lot of these constitutions and doctrines are somewhat of an iron fist. Like you can almost look at parts of the Bible as like an iron fisted way of controlling women because you don't have any game. If you had game, then you would have a woman who happily Submitted to you without a doctrine.

You know what I'm saying? So I'm very skeptical and I'm very cynical of any doctrine that mandates the sexual dynamics between men and women and tries to mediate those forces because those, those forces are not governable. Those forces are mandated by nature, which is my God, by the way. Nature is my God.

I study nature and I look at the way things are not the way things should be. And I look at the way things are. And that is where I sculpt my model of the universe.

CALLER 2

Universe.

HOST

But I do not believe that any doctrine that intervenes with the natural inclinations and forces between men and women should be obeyed. It's my personal opinion. All right, 100.

CALLER 4

Thanks for the input,

HOST

Bear. Cat, what's up buddy?

CALLER 3

Hey, brute. Awesome spaces so far. I've just got a quick question that relates a bit to what you are talking about. With the heart being masculine, the mind being feminine.

So I am in college and recently I've gone through a period of self sabotage where although I was an extremely good student, I managed to fail a lot of my exams. I couldn't tell why until I got really sick one day and somehow the answer just came to my mind and it was that I was self sabotaging because I knew I should not be in college. And the question I want to ask you is there seems to be no logical conclusion as to why I should be dropping out. Especially since I've been doing quite well.

But in my heart I just know like I, this is not where I should be and I should like just get out of here asap.

HOST

Exactly, exactly. So that's the bottom of the trough. And that was my overarching point, was that, that's, that's sort of the, that's sort of the tragic comic thing of being a man, right? Is that you can, you can try to circumvent and circumnavigate what your heart wants every which way possible.

You can cope your way through it. You can intellectualize your way through it. You will always circle back and fall to the bottom of the trough of what your heart really wants. You'll do it every time.

Which is why a lot of men convince themselves of, of things that they want that they don't really want and then they always blow it up on purpose. That's why men are the most self sabotaging group of people on the planet. Way worse than women. Like men are afraid of success because not every man is designed to be a killer.

You know what I'm Saying like, a lot of men are trying to pursue every man somehow because of money, Twitter or red pill Twitter thinks they're supposed to be an alpha or some hard charging dominant CEO. It's never going to happen. It's not in your DNA. Blood is king.

So it's not self sabotage, is my point. You have to re. You have to look at it the other way. You're not self sabotaging.

The self sabotaging was going to college because that's not what you really wanted to do. So the college was the self sabotage. So by you dropping out, you're honoring your spirit. And by the way, honoring your spirit is very incompatible with a lot of conventional relationships.

It's going to rub a lot of the wrong way. Family, friends, a lot of, A lot of people will. You'll be alienated from. But if you want the heroic glory, if you truly want the heroic glory, like I said, and you want your art to survive, then you have to honor that truth.

Got no choice. Unless you just want to be a figment of someone else's imagination when you're long, when you're. When you're dearly departed. You know what I'm saying?

CALLER 3

Yeah, that's a great answer. Thank you. And I do think that destroying those relationships will be worth it. Because if I do win in the end, like, I can fix the relationship with my family easily.

Like, you know, I got a few million dollars in the bank. Like, yeah, my family's not going to have a problem with me dropping out of college then, right?

HOST

Well, that's the whole thing, right? Is like we make these decisions. If. So if you, if you slash everything but the dream and you burn everything but your dream, you obviously don't deserve to have anybody believe in you, right?

Like, nobody should be resuscitating you. Nobody should breathing. Be breathing life into your wings like you need to. That it's now your.

The world is now your oyster to prove yourself. Like, you have to go out and prove it now. You know what I mean? Like, no one's gonna give you a leg up.

No one's gonna give you a free lunch. Like, now it's your job to go prove it. Like you just said, go get your money. Go.

Go ascend the ladder and then you'll silence the critics. But until then, expect everybody to be chirping in your ear and use that as fuel, you know what I mean? Because, like, it's not very masculine. Men don't get respect for their dreams and visions and potential.

And if you've Noticed a lot of that, sort of. I almost call it philandering on Twitter is. I think a lot of guys want to get credit for their ambitions. A lot of guys want to get credit for their dreams and ambitions and desires.

Oh, I have huge goals. Okay, dude, that means nothing. No one gives a. No one gives a.

You got to do it. You got to do it. And then. And then you.

And then it's cool to do whatever the fuck you want to do. You know what I'm saying? Like, I still believe my greatest mantra on Twitter, and I've been talking about this for years, is how everything is cool when you're winning. Nothing is cool when you're losing.

So, like, you have to beat the game of life first. And when I say beat the game of life, like, you kind of have to navigate your way through the labyrinth of capitalism. You just have to. Especially if you're.

If you're in the States. If you're in the United States of America, you got to play the game. And once you play the game and you've proven that you've demonstrated that you can beat the game and you can play the game at a high level, then you can do whatever the. You want.

You can go to monasteries, you can go pray with monks. You can take cold showers. You can. No fap.

You can do all those things, and they're cool, but they ain't cool when you're a loser. You know what I'm saying? Like, I understand the no fap. I understand where these guys are coming from.

Semen retention, all that. Somewhere, it has value, but it only has value after you beat the game. If you want to be a minimalist. If.

When you got millions of dollars in the bank and you want to go live in a tractor trailer in the. In the suburbs, so be it. Because you beat the game. So no one's gonna criticize or say a word to you.

But a lot of these mechanisms are just losers opting out of the game of capitalism, which is the greatest game ever invented, by the way. You know why it's the greatest game ever invented? Because it's the only game in town. It's the only game in town.

And if you can't get what you want in life, your marketing sucks. That simple. If you are a man who struggles to get what you want in this life, your marketing is terrible because you are your product at all times. It's what none of these guys with businesses understand.

No one really cares about your products. Yeah, if you have a good product, sure, it's going to sell itself. I get that. But people, you are the product.

You are your own business. And if you don't treat yourself like you're a business, then no one's gonna buy from you. It's just, it's just, it's mathematics, dude. It's two plus two shit arithmetic.

CALLER 3

Awesome. Thank you, Bruce. That was a great answer. And I definitely be happy to have, you know, my relationships destroyed and people just yelling in my ear telling me I'm like a loser because at the end of the day, if I don't go through hell to get to my dreams, then I'm probably just going to destroy everything when I get there.

HOST

Correct. Appreciate your question. What's up, Danny? Yo, Brute.

What's good, Dan? What's good, brother? So I wanted to ask you. So I think in life there are really like two main things that you can do, create or consume.

And I wanted to hear your thoughts on, you know, where do you find the balance in that and do you just kind of do everything spontaneously? If you think you should create, then you create. If you think you should consume, then you consume.

CALLER 1

Want to hear your thoughts on that?

HOST

100%. 100%. Anytime I see someone that needs custom systems to get done or like very tight schedules, I know they're not living from their heart. You know what I mean? Like, I'm very unorthodox with the way I do everything and it's, it works for me really well because it's congruent with who I am.

I don't, I don't follow a regiment, for example. I don't follow any kind of routine. I hate plans. I don't schedule jack.

I don't write things down. When things are important to me and I have appointments, I just remember them because they're important to me. If I feel like I have to write something down or a time slot, it's because it just ain't that important to me. I could fill my head with 50 appointments and if I care about all 50 of those appointments, I'll be there.

I will just somehow miraculously be there. You know what I mean? Like, I don't use alarm clocks. If I got to get up for something, it's because I want to get up for it.

And there's a biological rhythm that is in accord with that. And I'll just get the up. It's bizarre. It could be 3 o' clock in the morning.

I'll be up at 2:30. My circadian rhythm is just that dialed in with my spirit. So I Don't. I don't.

I don't appreciate systems at all. I understand systems are effective from business. From a business standpoint, I understand systems are making people a lot of money. But that's not really my concern.

My concern is living as deeply within my soul as I can, because that's where I get the most. That's honestly where I get all my validation. So, yeah, bro, I'm. I am the most spontaneous I've personally ever met.

I have. My life from the outside would look like it's in complete disarray. Complete disarray. I'm not organized.

I'm not tidy. I. I do whatever the I want. I fly by the seat of my pants.

I don't know what I'm doing five minutes from now. If I want to gratify a whim, I gratify a whim. If I want a bone broth and it's an hour away in traffic, I'll sit in traffic just to get a bone broth. I'm petty like that.

You know what I mean? If I want to. If I want a pair of kettlebells and they're in Vegas and they're like, we'll ship them to you. They'll be there in four days.

Guess what? I'm jumping in the car and I'm going to get those kettlebells right the now, because I want them now. And I just. I think that's a.

That's an overarching theme of a lot of successful people, is if you're not willing to gratify the smallest whims and smallest desires that you have, then you're. That's probably a microcosm of a larger issue. You know, every. Every killer shark that I know just ruthlessly pursues their.

Their desires, whatever they are. They could be. They could make zero sense to somebody else. But when, when you want something as a man, you go get it.

You know, that's why I really. I really have a lot of beefs. And I have trouble connecting with people who say, you know, oh, that's too expensive, or, I can't live there. I, I really, I really hate that in men, when men talk like that, because you.

There is no beast craft engineered on Earth that has the capacity to get things done like a man. And everything is attainable if you're a man. I. I truly live in a world where I do not believe anything is unattainable if you're a male.

Everything's obtainable, Everything's attainable. Everything. Anything that you want your heart's greatest desires you can get if you're a man, if you want it bad enough. I've truly never seen somebody who wants something bad enough not get it.

I've never seen that. Honest to God, I've never seen somebody truly, from the bottom of their heart, want something and not get it. Even problems. Even problems.

You know, you see guys going through recurring problems year after year after year. We like our problems. We choose our problems. As mentioned, if you ever find yourself dealing with a recurring issue that you complain about, it's because you like it.

It's because you like it. Deep down, you know, it's just. It's. It's.

It's either an out or it's giving you some kind of validation. It's one of those two. So we choose everything as men.

CALLER 1

100%, bro.

HOST

Thank you. Hu. Lysander. What's up, buddy?

I gotta go get a cig right now. Talk to me, brother.

CALLER 1

What's going on, Boots?

HOST

What's up, buddy?

CALLER 1

Gotta say, man, definitely missed you around Twitter. It's refreshing to hear you with this perspective, especially right now. The big thing, you know, we've. We've talked quite a bit in the past, but I look around, looking at the faces that are in this spaces, and I see a lot of guys and a lot of where the questions are coming from, specifically the guy with college and the Christian guy.

I want to ask you a question, because the main thing that I'm picking up on is this. It's that in your teens, as you're becoming a man, a lot of men fail to go on the hero's journey to become a warrior. I think that's like the first archetype that people need to get into in order for them to start feeling fulfilled and for them to go on this adventure to learn a lot of lessons. Now the big problem that I see, though, is, and this is where a lot of people lean into, go down the college route, get married, get into corporate culture, so on and so forth.

As you said, the game is. The game is monetary, right? The game is how much. How much money you can acquire and then using that money to pretty much gain status.

That's the game. So then my question to you then is how can you mix going down the warrior archetype, you know, getting out there, fighting, bleeding, getting cut, getting back up, learning kind of those virtues of being able to, like, get that discipline on top of, you know, getting and picking yourself back up, but also chasing after the. The monetary stuff. Like, what route could someone Go down in this life in their 20s to gain both the, the warrior virtues and the monetary success.

HOST

Man, that's a great question. The first thing that came to mind is are you asking that rhetorically or do you have your own personal.

CALLER 1

Well, no. So I'll kind of give you my anecdote of where I'm at, right? So when I was 16 and a half, September 11th happened. I was growing up in Connecticut at the time.

Watch the towers fall. I was actually in New York City two days before watching the last Yankees Red Sox baseball game happen, looked at the towers, and then two days later I'm seeing the towers falling, right? Countries under attack. I feel something like I should get up and I should go help.

And I didn't get up and go help. I didn't get up and go. My soul said to go and help pull people out of the rubble, right? But I was so scared of being judged.

What was going to happen? Was my dad going to kick my ass mainly for stealing the car and going there. Treated a pit in my stomach. So here I am, 18 years old now at this point in time, I have my pick of whatever college I want to go to.

I'm surrounded by a lot of kids that are chasing after the monetary stuff. But we had just invaded Iraq and I was like, I want to go kick ass. So I went and joined the Marine Corps. Took like the day I got my high school diploma, joined the Marine Corps, chased after excellence the entire time I was in the military, special operations, did all that stuff.

Fought in Iraq, fought in Afghanistan, got pretty much awarded for heroism and all that other. But as time went on as, as our culture started to lean more and more towards the attention seeking, the social media and like the CEO, you know, grind type mindset. The, the lessons that I learned honestly are phenomenal, right? Went and achieved the kind of warrior archetype I know, the type of man I am in battle, but now here I am and it's a struggle.

And I use the term struggle, but it's a struggle to try to catch up. Now to all these other people that invested early on in just going down the route of chase after the. Chase after the status, chase after the money, right? So the reason why I'm asking the question is we have a group of men right now that they're, they're.

They either have two roads to go down, right? Chase after the spirit, like what you're talking about, and become fulfilled from your journey to develop that spirit, hone the spirit, become the warrior, and essentially become like the old adage that I really enjoy is, you know, being a warrior in a garden rather than a gardener in a war. But the downfall that you kind of walk into, especially in this time frame where everything is based on acquiring money and acquiring status, what, what route could you kind of curtail at this point in time in life to attain both at the same time?

HOST

So, speaking from experience, the Spirit has been the best sales funnel for whatever my personal projects have been. And I'll tell you why. There's some people who get paid to be themselves, and some people get paid to be somebody else. And I think we all know that the pinnacle, again I'll say it, the pinnacle male experience is being paid to be who you are.

Some people are making money being themselves. And that is a beautiful place to be in life when you can just be yourself. And people want to throw money at you, people want to fund your projects, people want to invest in you. That's a, that's the best position you could possibly be in.

You know, a lot of have to put on a suit and tie and wear a name tag to get paid. They got to be somebody else. Can't be themselves. No one wants to, no one wants to invest in what they got outside of that.

And I'm not knocking that, but that's not the life that I wanted to choose for myself. I always wanted to be paid for who I was. And so cultivating that spirit and I, you know, putting myself through a lot of the, the real world gauntlets that I've been through has just sort of helped me pillage and plunder that, that wisdom that's allowed me to do that. So it's a, it's, it's a, it is a very, very fine line.

It is a very fine line because I do think any model of the universe that does not involve financial empowerment is incorrect. Is incorrect. Because with money, you can amplify your message. And if you really want power and you really want to disrupt the power blocks in society, it, it involves resources.

It involves resources. It involves immense organization and, and resources is the name of the game. So, dude, a lot of these guys are just opting out of capitalism. Them, they're, they're opting out of the game completely.

You know, they're, they're, they got the mattress on the floor, they got a moldy toothbrush by the sink, they got nothing on the walls, and they really don't have anything outside of that sort of nihilistic inculcation that they're in. And I just think that's, that's a life of, of brutal misery. Because the, the, the, if you can play the game of capitalism, it's a demonstration of competence. It's a demonstration of competence.

And I think competence is really the, the virtue that I think all men really want at. The men want to be known as competent above almost everything else because that, that is accompanied and adjoined with respect, being cherished by women.

CALLER 1

Yeah, no, you're right. Competence is the hierarchy.

HOST

It is man. It all starts from there. It all starts from competence and being viewed as competent in whatever you're doing. It's, it's like I said, dude, that cultivating the spirit is the greatest sales funnel because everything is downstream from that.

Everything, everything flows from that. Everything flows from who you are. You know what I mean? It's why you can't teach charisma.

I also don't think you can teach people how to make money. I think there's something unethical about it. I, I can't explain it. It's always rubbed me the wrong way.

I do not believe you can commandeer something so intimate like the way that a man makes money is. That's a very intimate, personal process. I don't know what the, your talents, I don't know what you like. I don't know.

I don't know who you are deep down. Like the way you choose to earn a living is very, very important. It's very important. It's very hyper personalized.

Very hyper personalized. I've never wanted to be under somebody else's tutelage on how to make money. Sure. I've, you know, I'll ask for tips.

I don't mind picking people's brains. In my industry, that's a different ball game. But I'm playing games I want to play, you know what I mean? Which, which obviously does have to involve a level of capitalism.

CALLER 1

Yeah. Essentially what you're saying is you'll, you'll look to people for tips, but you're not looking for someone to reign over you and say, go down this direction. No, no, no one, no one owns that space for you.

HOST

No one owns that space for me. I don't think anybody should own that space for any man. I think it's led to a lot of the, the disaffection of the youth. Think.

I think a lot of the youth are disenchanted, disenfranchised, disaffected because they're so lost and they're not living from the heart that they've been forced to Sort of cowtow to these figures that are telling them how to make money. And I think that leads to a lot of self destruction because like the other fella said he had it reversed. He thought that going to, he thought dropping out of college was self sabotaging, but going to college was self sabotaging. Just like these dudes that are starting these Potemkin Village businesses.

They're, they're, they're going down the same course. They're gonna blow that up too down the road. Because men cannot hang on to anything that doesn't come from their source. You'll piss it away.

You'll piss it away. If you're not living from your source and you're not living from that sort of. It does feel like divinity. It really does.

It feels like a divine grace. When you're living from that source, you're just gonna piss everything away. I've seen it time and time again. I've never seen a man hold on to something.

And it really is the only new age spiritual principle that I live by is if something is meant for you, it will never flee you. That is such a great spiritual adage to live by. Whatever is meant for you will never leave your hands. That includes money, that includes women.

If it's meant for you, it's never walking away. I truly believe that. And if it leaves you, wasn't meant for you, it means that there's some incongruence, there's some pataphysical incongruence there. You know how they say luck never gives, only lends luck, Luck never gives, it only lends.

And so it'll take it away. If you find yourself getting lucky, you chance upon a beautiful woman, you feel like you didn't deserve it, you're gonna throw it away. You fall into a large sum of money, feel like you don't deserve it, you're gonna piss it away. You're gonna piss it away because you can never outperform your self image as a man.

That is, that is the, the truest axiom you'll ever hear. You will never outperform your self image. Whatever you think you are deep down, you will never ever climb higher than that. If you think you're a piece of deep down.

That is exactly the kind of life that you're going to get. That is exactly the kind of life that you're going to get. And the only way to beat, the only way to foster a self image that is going to grand in scope is selft talk. Selft talk.

The most successful People on Earth are talking themselves through situations all day long, bombarding themselves with talk. They don't listen to the voice in their head. They talk to themselves. There's a massive difference.

Most people are listening to themselves throughout the day.

CALLER 1

Yeah, that goes back to what you're talking about of having the ego on autopilot is almost like you're letting that voice dictate your life and you're listening to what it has to say, whether rather than looking at it as something that's giving you some feedback. And then ultimately you're weighing that feedback and then you're making the decisions.

HOST

That's exactly right. So, as a man, the hardest thing to do is to emotionally dominate yourself, which is what is required to be successful in any pursuit. In any pursuit, there is a level of. And it's, it's, it's not mentally healthy, by the way.

This is where modern mental health is so up and ass backwards is. Modern mental health is designed as somewhat of a roadblock for extraordinary figures. Modern mental health is almost like a. It's like a safety net for people who are trying to achieve extraordinary things, and then they come across a very difficult mental roadblock, and they're like, you know what?

Life's tough right now. I don't really want to persevere past this. I'm just gonna go pop some pills or go step into a therapist's office, and then they quit. It's game over.

Once that's your mindset is like, oh, life just got too hard. I'm just gonna start taking mental health days. I'm gonna, you know, take some sick days, start popping some Prozac. I'm gonna start chatting with a therapist three times a week.

It's over for you. It's over for you because your edges are now going to be so dulled. You're a dull butter knife. You just lost your edge.

Your edge was the mental maladaptation. You see, all successful people have maladaptations. They have maladaptations. And I, I said this before, and I think it's true.

Every successful that you see online, every mother successful, every successful person you see in the real world, I guarantee you, they pop dirty on, like, 20 DSM mental illnesses. Like, like, if you go on the DSM, they got everything, dude. Bipolar disorder, narcissistic disorder, sociopathy. Like, they got everything.

They have a, they have a bevy. They have a bevy of what, what modern mental health would call a disorder. But those disorders are very powerful. If you tame them, it's Kind of like this.

If you're born a risky person, like, I am just in my blood, right? I'm a very risky person. You can learn how to tame and control that. You can learn how to, how to, how to tame that beast.

But if you're not born risky, you're never going to have it at all. So you'd almost rather have the bug than not have the bug. Because if you have the bug, you can learn how to control it. But if you don't have the bug, you're.

You see what I'm saying? So it's like as a man, you almost want bugs in the firmware. You almost want. You got to be a little bit crazy.

You have to be. You have to be a little bit of a madman. You know what I mean? Like, the Mad Men are the ones who raise, who hoist the flags at the end of the day.

Like, who do you think tinkling glasses with the elites and, you know, toasting their glasses and saying the victory praises. It's the, it's the Mad Men. The Mad Men win every day of the week. And it's the dude and it's the dudes who are trying to scrub out their character defects all the time.

And I'm imperfect. I got to change this about myself. I got to change this about myself. Gotta.

Those guys have no edge. They're. They're so. Because they haven't learned that life is a tapestry.

It's a mosaic. You gotta incorporate the good with the bad. Nobody's perfect. But you got to learn how to take your imperfections and rock with them.

You got to throw them on your shoulder and go ruck. You know what I'm saying? Like, you got to ruck up the mountain imperfect. You're going to be mangled, you're going to be hobbled, you're going to be fatigued.

But you got to keep soldiering on. And the minute you start to think that there's parts of yourself that are holding you back, you're done. I've never. I swear to God, I've never seen someone entertainment.

These modalities of therapy and they're. They get really up. You ever seen someone, you've ever seen a dude personally, in your personal experience, you ever seen a guy start going crazy on like, introspection and self help work? They're a mess, dude.

Yeah.

CALLER 1

It's almost like you. They almost neuter themselves by going into this crazy self diagnosis and trying to fix themselves.

HOST

Exactly. Good.

CALLER 1

It's like I'm. Instead of saying, like, lean into the darkness. It's like I'm going to try to shy away from this corner and have people tell me that I'm a good boy. That's like, it's almost like what you're talking about too.

Like when you're in that dark spot and you're starting to, and you're, you're, you're really getting beat down and you're going through the darkest parts and you, what you're saying essentially is me going to a therapist at that moment in time is kind of me looking for an out. It's me looking for someone to sit there and say, oh, don't worry about it, like, we'll fix this. But the reality is like, that was your edge. Like if you just leaned into it even further, you would have found the gold nugget.

But instead.

HOST

Bingo.

CALLER 1

And you scared yourself away from, from finding that treasure.

HOST

Yep. Psyched yourself out. Psyched yourself out, dude. Seen it, seen it happen so many times.

And it's, it's one of the saddest. It's one of the saddest, most morose situations when you see a guy that is just totally fucking abandoned himself and he just thinks he has to fix himself 24 7. Dude, there are, there are. They're emotional wrecks.

They're. They become hypersensitive. They get their feelings hurt by everything they have to fucking. Someone says something in a conversation, they harp on it for like four hours or like, was this right?

Did this hurt my feelings? Did I say this? It becomes a. You become a monster.

You become a monster and you start tearing yourself apart.

CALLER 1

And that's what I see them doing. You know what I see them doing? They're looking for acceptance instead of just pulling the trigger and going for it. Instead they become so, so self analytical that they care what people think.

HOST

Exactly.

CALLER 1

And in a way that was like them putting a bullet in their brain, dude.

HOST

Exactly. It's a lobotomy. If you look at every dude, if you, if, if you seriously could take a glimpse into the life of every high functioning successful individual. If you look under the hood, it's gruesome, it's horrifying.

Like the, the dysfunction that it requires to be functional. I always say this like, people don't understand. The most functional people in the world are very dysfunctional because you have to be. You have to juggle a lot of chaos and a lot of mania and order to get in order to get to where you want to be.

That's just how it is. I mean, it's life is not easy. The. The human animal is a.

To deal with. And going through that process and having the courage to accept yourself for who you are and try to turn and try to tweak the things that hold you back and try to use them as strengths by yourself, unaided, unabetted, is. Is. Is.

Is such a fucking high. There's nothing like it. There's no street drug. There's no pharmaceutical that can replicate the process of knowing that you beat your own demons.

Like, it's, It's. It's just. It's an incredible mountain to rest on when you get there. And the work's never done.

Those things creep up on you the rest of your life. But seriously, if you peek under the hood of these successful people, dude, everybody would be horrified at what's really going on. You know what I mean? They got fighting in the house.

Their kids don't talk to them. They're. There's. There's so much dysfunction because when you're obsessed with a mission and a goal, it's.

It's very incompatible with the conventional relationship. It's. It's. It's.

It's very difficult. You know what I mean? Like, cohabitating with a woman is life on the hardest difficulty setting, by the way, 100%. Because a lot of guys, when.

Once they. Once they shack up with a chick, it's like the natural male desires to start coasting. I've. I've dealt with this myself.

Like, it takes 100 times more energy to do the ordinary shit that you would have done solo. Takes 100 times more energy to get up off your ass and do those things when you live with a woman. Like, you have to be an. An energetic battery.

You have to have so much more energy than your woman. You got to deal with her test, you got to deal with her bullshit. You got to fend off the. You got to deal with your business, you got to deal with your personal life.

You still got to go to the gym. You got to eat. Right? Like, all of those impulses start to extinguish when you start living with a woman because you just.

You're like, I got it. Like, I hit the. I hit the golden tip. Now I just want to coast.

And it's like, that's when you really got to start pushing it harder. And it takes an enormous amount of energy.

CALLER 1

Yeah, the biggest thing I say with that one too, is it's almost like you're fighting a war at home. So, dude, you're having to fight a war outside all day long. But when you come home is your time for introspection. It's to have that conversation with yourself, is to sit down and strategize of what you need to do so you can get back out there tomorrow and keep going.

But then when you bring that chaos into your home, or, and this is what people don't get too, is complacency is chaos. And that's what most guys go searching for. Yeah, complacency is chaos because it's like. It's like the killer of your spirit, that complacency.

And it introduces a world of chaos into your life because you're not going out and you're not fighting any longer or you're not fighting as hard as you were. So then that shadow of yourself starts to creep in of like, am I as good as I was yesterday? Am I still as lethal as I was? Am I still able to go out and garner enough resources and do xyz?

HOST

Exactly. Exactly. Men have to prove themselves every day, dude. I mean, that's why, like, you want to.

Metaphorically. You know how men have to prove themselves in the bedroom every time you get an erection? You have to prove yourself. Right?

You have to get hard to have sex. Life is the same way for men. You have to prove yourself with every sexual encounter, and you have to prove yourself in the domain of life every day. Women don't have that burden.

Women don't have that burden. Men do. And you cannot rest on your laurels or everything fractures, everything falls apart. Like the same woman who loves you because you're a maniac, who's obsessed with your mission.

And obviously it causes some relationship strife because maybe you're a little bit emotionally unavailable. But that's the cost of doing business. When you're providing a life, you're providing a. For a family.

You have big dreams, big visions. Of course there's going to be hostility. And within the relationship, of course that's going to hamper things. Of course it is.

But it's the cost of doing business. What's the alternative? The minute you put your woman above your mission, she's going to leave you anyway. So now you got nothing.

Now you're going to lose everything. You know what I mean? It's like if you're. If you're pursuing your mission at the highest intensity, you might lose yourself in the process, which I don't think is a bad thing, by the way.

I think men are supposed to lose themselves. I think men are supposed to be so passionate about what they're doing, they Completely lose themselves.

CALLER 1

Yeah, that's like the next. That's like the next journey. That's like the next part of evolution, of finding, like, losing yourself to find yourself again. 101 thing that I can say is this. And like, Bukowski, even though he's a weirdo, but Bukowski says an amazing tweet or a amazing quote where he talks about going crazy, right, and losing himself.

And he feels bad for no one who's ever pushed themselves to the brink of going insane. And he says what dull lives they've lived. It's like that is also a part of your journey, is to push yourself to such a brink that you scare yourself beyond recognition and you can pull yourself back together afterwards.

HOST

That's exactly right. That's exactly correct. That is the correct model. And by the way, the beauty of it is when you do lose yourself, that's when everybody else loves you.

That's when everybody else knows you the most. That's. Dude, that's what. That's the par.

That's. Everything in life's a paradox. That's why life is so beautiful. Because when you are lost and you have no idea who the you are because your work is so powerful, that's when everybody else knows who you are.

But the minute you think you know yourself, that's when nobody knows you. You know what I'm saying? Like, that's the tightrope that we walk as men, man. That's the.

That's the. That's where you want to be. You want to be so lost in your mission that you're just like, what is driving me to do this every day? Why am I.

Why am I a workaholic? Why do I get up and push myself 14 hours a day? Well, because it's like, what's the alternative? What's the alternative?

The alternative is so much more painful for me. For me, the alternative is so much more painful. Like the days I don't go to the gym painful. Way worse than putting £400 on my back and squatting it.

That's easier than being a lump. Than being a lumping sad soul sitting on the couch.

CALLER 1

I didn't know if you wanted me to continue. I don't want to hog the space here.

HOST

No, man, that's a. It's a great conversation.

CALLER 2

You.

HOST

You just. I. I actually wanted to address all those things. I appreciate it.

Yo, Pierre. What's up, buddy?

CALLER 2

Yo, what's up, bro?

HOST

What's up, brother?

CALLER 1

Yeah.

CALLER 2

So I had a quick question analyzing different people that might have made it to the pinnacle of their sport you can think of. And not even sport really endeavor you can think of like McGregor type or whoever, people that people look up to, you often see towards the end of their career that. I don't want to call it burning out, but that's kind of what you can see, like getting knocked out multiple times in a row or even like the billionaire that goes broke. I noticed that at a certain level of obsession, it's almost like stopping is not even an option to the detriment of the person.

So my question is here, for somebody like that, a conqueror really, like, truly, is there a good ending?

HOST

I don't believe there is, because I do think, I think tragedy is kind of woven into the story. It's a conversation a lot of people don't want to have. But the heroic journey typically ends in tragedy. And that, that can take various.

That can take a, you know, a multitudinous form. But the, the thing is, is that if you noticed all of the greats, they all have this infantile desire at the end of their career to go back to source, or they just want to live, I almost want to say, like an ascetic life. They almost want to live this monastic, sort of minimalistic life. Tyson did it.

They start denouncing materialism. They become very religious. They sort of, you know, cloister themselves in this life where they're just completely satisfied with not really having much. And I think that's also, I think that's also sort of the result of breaking the pleasure mechanisms.

A lot of these guys have absolutely smoldered their pleasure mechanisms. Like, they're just, they're, they've literally every woman on earth. They've spent hundreds of millions of dollars. It's just they've.

They've sort of broken, you know, those, those, the plumbing essentially in their brain, and they just want to go back to source. Everybody wants to die closer to source, which you could almost interchangeably say with God. I've just seen it over and over again. Because here's the deal.

There's a lot of pressure being number one. I don't think people understand there is a human need to self sabotage. When you are number one all the time, there is a target on your head at all times. That's why these champions in the ufc, these, these know, a lot of these champions, like, that's why guys like Mayweather are so impressive.

Anybody who's able to remain number one for an extended period of time is an incredible human being because it's just so much pressure Man.

CALLER 2

Right, and, and that's what I was going to bring up too. So I'm glad that you said Mayweather because you see a lot of these guys when they get towards the end of their career and fighting is the easiest example. But it's not just that like, you know, billionaires that go broke or even conquerors in history that thought they could win one more battle, but they were nearing their end their career and their empire fall down, stuff like that.

HOST

Yep.

CALLER 2

And that, that is really interesting because. But what I do notice, which is kind of toxic as well, is you see these people like Tyson towards the end, or towards the end of their lifespan, I guess they would say they start, you know, entering that mode of reflection when they're kind of completely changing. But I do notice a lot of people will get into that reflection without having earned it. And that just creates like a whole different type of show.

Like the UC Tyson on Psychedelic this, psychedelic that. But that's revealing things to him based on the experiences that he's already had and earned. And then you see, you know, somebody that hasn't had near the life experience that he has trying to enter a life of reflection, realizing there's nothing to reflect on and then self destructing harder than he was already going to.

HOST

Exactly. Because introspection is valuable in retrospect. So it's like I said earlier, when you win, when you beat the game, like these guys have demonstrated, then they have the latitude. See, you're granted the latitude to explore all those things after you've won.

That's why these guys start doing mushrooms, start doing ayahuasca. They start exhibiting what you would consider weird behavior because they won. So now they're just kind of experimenting. They're going back into the lab to try to understand life.

And I mean, look, it's, it's a human instinct to die the way you came into the world. Everybody wants to die naked and screaming and hungry. You come into the world naked, screaming and hungry, and that's how we leave. And everything in between is just gravy.

So it's, it's, it's very much sort of the natural decay of, of greatness, you know?

CALLER 2

Yeah, definitely. Yeah, that was. Appreciate the answer as well. My last question to you would be, and this is just a personal question, but what would you consider yourself spiritually?

Is there a label there as far as a religion or even just a belief system?

HOST

Man, I think the only, I think the only ethical spirituality that I practice is excellence.

CALLER 2

Okay, I like that one word, one sentence, concise. Answer. I appreciate you.

HOST

Yep. All right, guys, I'm taking off. It was a great discussion.
